When PERCYJACKSON was first suggested to me, I was really hesitant, considering I had just completed Harry Potter and refused to think there could be anything better than that. I started it anyway (unfortunately, from the second book first) to see how it is. Now the title must tell you how it turned out for me. (hopefully).
Greek mythology mixed with teen humor, this adventurous book gives you everything from sad, heart-wrenching moments, to hilariously funny ones. One day Percy got to know he was half God and half human, and the rest is history( literally).
Rick Riordan did the best job with the funniest and most savage punchlines, perfectly placed historical facts (for the history buffs), the most lovable characters (Percy!) with "How in Gods' name" character development throughout, and adorable non-cheesy romance! (Wow, haven't put that many words in a sentence before). Honestly this is everything in a book I could hope for. And through the course of the series, I fell in love with certain characters (try guessing when you are done with it!)

Now I don't think you might care(I hope you do though, my reviews aren't half bad), but I'm going to mention that my favorite book in the series was THE BATTLE OF LABYRINTH
To some people this might be kiddish, but to me it's just the most apt book for any age. Plus guys, don't judge the series by the first book please!!
