A message that has been delivered to our society using this movie, is something that is still controversial and something which many may not agree to. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I agree with it. A TIME TO KILL is an emotional Roller coaster, with certain teeth-gritting moments and can get your eyes all watery. This movie from 1996 shows a brilliant blend of a message against racism and sexual assault. You know those villains you hate so much in life you never forget them, well this movie will give you many of those.
The movie is based on court procedures, and how a young man took law into his own hands, to provide justice. I was highly impressed, because it is a topic highly talked about now, but was less talked about when this movie was released. And of course, the cast is just amazing, just apt for the movie. Who can watch a 90's movie without the hottest Matthew McConaughey, starring along with Sandra Bullock! Not to forget our very own Nick Fury Samuel L. Jackson! Most people might have just come here to see the cast! (And then they will fall in love with the movie)
In the end, I'd like to just say, A TIME TO KILL changed my life. Matthew McConaughey, the main character, had made a speech in the end. I swear, it will make you cry. The language used was beautiful, and he portrayed it so very well.
